History of Hotel
The Hotel opened in 1911 as a sawmill boarding house operated by Dora Wood and assisted by her 11 year-old son, Charles Wesley Kemp. When asked by his mother what would be an appropriate name for the hotel, he replied "My name is Charles Wesley.
Let's name it the Charles Wesley".
